Increasing the student degree completion and graduation rates is a significant national policy issue and a considerable challenge to meet. UHCC is focused on all aspects of the pipeline that leads to college completion - from pre-college preparation, remedial and developmental education to student support services and policies that lead to retention and graduation.

There are many committees and taskforce groups working interdependently to create policies and practices that help student succeed, thereby increasing student success rates, retention, and ultimately graduation rates.

The focus of this page is to help explore and define possible institutional policies that support the Hawai'i Graduation Initiative and help students progress successfully through college.
