I’m a current high school student
UH Community Colleges offer current high school students the opportunity to take college-level classes through the Early Admission or Running Start programs. College and high school credits can be earned as students get a flavor of college life.
Running Start
Public high school juniors and seniors can get a head start on college by enrolling in the Running Start Program, which allows students to attend college classes while earning both high school and college credits.
Running Start courses are offered at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and the seven community colleges: Hawai’i CC, Honolulu CC, Kapi’olani CC, Kaua’i CC, Leeward CC, Maui CC and Windward CC.
If you’re interested in Running Start, talk to your high school counselor today. You can also visit http://www.hawaii.edu/runningstart for more information. Scholarships are available for eligible low-income students.
Early Admission
Early Admission program provides college educational opportunities for youths under the age of 18. Contact the campus of your choice about the Early Admission program.
