$400 Scholarship to Enroll at a UH Community College Campus

The University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges (UHCC) are announcing the Kūlia Scholarship for Spring 2021. A limited amount of up to $400 scholarships for tuition and fees will be awarded to Hawai‘i residents whose employment situations have changed due to COVID-19. The scholarship will support them in striving toward completing a college degree to pursue new directions.

Kūlia Scholarship Application

Eligible recipients:

  • Hawai‘i residents
  • Currently furloughed or laid off from a job in Hawai‘i because of COVID impacts (since March 2020) or have documented furlough or lay off for Spring 2021 (January - May 2021). Priority will be given to full-time employees.
  • Graduated high school prior to 2020.
  • Must be admitted and enrolled as a UHCC student for Spring 2021. Priority for those who are pursuing their first degree or industry-recognized certificate (credit programs).
  • Must submit an application for the Kūlia scholarship.
  • New to the UH System for Spring 2021. If you previously attended UH and earned at least 3 credits then inquire about scholarship opportunities via our Round 2, Stronger You program
