Two-year College Pathway to a Bachelor’s Degree
The University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges’ liberal arts curriculum and some of the occupational, technical and professional courses are designed to enable you to transfer easily to a four-year college or university.
You can prepare for a bachelor’s degree at any one of the seven community college campuses, taking the same courses you would as a freshman and sophomore at a four-year college or university.
Since entrance requirements and the acceptance of transfer courses differ for the various baccalaureate programs, we recommend that you consult with an academic advisor to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the colleges and your field of study.
The Associate in Arts degree (AA) is for students who intend to pursue a liberal arts major at a four-year college or university.
The Associate In Science degree (AS) is for students who want to earn a career-technical degree and use all or some of the courses to pursue a bachelors’ degree at a college or university.
