Distance Learning

The community colleges in the University of Hawai'i system provide an array of programs delivered by distance educational modalities. The link shares a list of these programs as well as links to all the colleges listing what they offer as well. Coming soon will be a new distance education program for the Associate in Arts (AA) degree designed with 5-week classes instead of the full semester length classes. This approach allows an adult learner, who may have a job and a family, the opportunity to take two or three classes in a term thereby accelerating the path to completion. In addition, there will be a more intentional connection to existing 4-year degrees online so learners can see that pathway as a good option. More online opportunities to get workplace certifications are also planned for the future.
