The University of Hawai'i Community College System seeks public and private partnerships for support of student success at its seven campuses (Honolulu CC, Kapi'olani CC, Leeward CC, and Windward CC on Oahu; and on the neighbor islands, Kaua'i CC, Hawai'i CC, and UH Maui College, which also serves the islands of Lanai and Molokai).

- Provide access to UH faculty, students, administrators and UH facilities
- Provide services for projects that benefit stakeholders in our communities

For UH Community Colleges
- Provide access to grant funding that requires UH to have public/private partners
- Strengthen competiveness for federal, state and private funding
- Provide training and employment opportunities for students on grant-funded projects
- Provide research opportunities for faculty and students
- Provide subject matter expertise lacking within UH
- Contribute matching resources for grants

Partners on existing UHCC grants include other UH institutions, state colleges and other universities; public and private schools; multiple State of Hawaii agencies in education, agriculture, energy, natural resources, labor, and economic development; the four Counties and county-based Economic Development Boards; business development and labor organizations such as the Hawaii Business Roundtable, Chambers of Commerce of Hawaii, the State of Hawaii Workforce Development Council, High Tech Development Corporation, and Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation; Native Hawaiian and other cultural organizations; non-profit organizations; and private corporations in the areas such as hospitality, health, energy, agriculture/food, and computer technology.
