Gifts invested into a college endowment fund will make an impact now and in the future. Endowed gifts create a permanent fund. Contributions are prudently invested to ensure that the gift retains its value in perpetuity, and the scholarships or grants created by the endowment are funded through the income generated by the endowment fund.
The University of Hawai'i Foundation manages more than $200 million in endowment gifts for prudent growth, ensuring that future generations will continue to benefit from these legacy gifts.
Creating an endowment allows donors to permanently support specific purposes based on their passion and interests. Many donors also contribute to existing endowments already established for scholarships, faculty/staff development and college advancement funds.
If you're interested in contributing to an established endowment or to create a new endowment fund, we encourage you to contact a UH Foundation representative to assist you with structuring your gift.
