WICHE Passport Project
WICHE Interstate Passport Initiative launched in 2011 is focused on streamlining transfer pathways to graduation between higher education institutions participating in the Interstate Passport Network. The goals are to improve graduation rates among member institutions and to conduct research in the field of higher education.
The idea and design for the Interstate Passport originated in 2010 as a result of chief academic leaders seeking a solution for transfer students, who often lose credits, repeat or take additional courses thus spending more time and money to complete their degrees.
Leeward Community College and the University of Hawai'i West O'ahu are the two institutions from Hawai'i that are participating in the development of Interstate Passport learning outcomes and proficiency criteria.
