Sexual Misconduct Resources

The University of Hawaii Community College System is committed to creating and fostering living, learning, and working environments free from discrimination and harassment of all kinds, including sexual violence and misconduct. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence or misconduct, you are strongly encouraged to seek assistance from one or more of the resources available through your home institution and off-campus. This website is a joint venture of the University of Hawai'i campuses designed to provide comprehensive information regarding sexual violence and misconduct support resources, how to report an incident, information about policies and procedures for each institution, and important contact information.

If you have been assaulted, it is strongly recommended that you seek medical attention immediately, or within 96 hours of the assault.

This website is also a resource for individuals who have experienced other forms of sexual harassment including child abuse and intimate partner violence.

Given the unique nature of the University of Hawai'i Community College System, there is a great deal of interaction among communities both in and out of the classroom. The colleges are committed to working together when there is an incident involving individuals from more than one institution. This website also serves as an important source of information should you have a complaint involving a member of one of the other community colleges.

All of us play an important role in keeping our community free from sexual violence and misconduct. Together we can foster a safe environment where each of us can learn, work, and grow. Suggestions on how you can help support this environment are provided here.

  • Show respect for others by respecting their boundaries, physical and otherwise. This includes a personal decision to be alcohol- or drug-free.
  • Know that consent should never be assumed. Be sure that consent has been given before engaging in any sexual activity.
  • Educate yourself about the prevention of sexual and other violence.
  • Be mindful of your own actions and understand how your actions or inactions impact others.
Thank you for your commitment to making the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges a safe and welcoming place to learn, work, and live. If you have questions or concerns related to sexual misconduct and sexual harassment, contact your Title IX Coordinator.
