The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children
Panel Discussion

Domestic violence can have long-lasting effects on the entire ʻohana. Keiki can be especially vulnerable in situations where domestic violence is present. Learn how domestic violence affects children and the impacts they may experience. Our panel will discuss how early intervention, prevention, and education can help our keiki thrive.
This session is open to all students, faculty, and staff.
This event will take place in person at Kauaʻi Community College and will stream live via Zoom.

Employed with the Department of Human Services-Child Welfare Services Kauaʻi Branch for the last 23 years. Currently the Kauaʻi Section Administrator. Oversee three Child welfare Services units (investigations, assessments, case management, permanency, legal guardianship, adoption, Higher Education and Imua Kākou cases) and one licensing unit (General Licensed and Child Specific foster homes).

Retired after being employed with the Department of Human Services-Child Welfare Services
(CWS) Kauaʻi Section from 1989 – 2021, for 32 years.
Kauaʻi CWS Section Administrator from 2014 – 2021
Currently, working part-time with the Kauaʻi CWS section assisting with closing cases which include completing guardianships and adoptions as well as other areas.
