Shots: Student Webinar Presentation

April 28, 2022, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

This training is will include a showing of Shots, a short film created by the SATC and the Hawai‘i Coalition Against Sexual Assault which highlights the high-risk intersection between alcohol and sexual violence. The training will also include a discussion about alcohol-related sexual violence amongst young adults, the factors involved and bystander intervention strategies to prevent assaults, and creating a respectful environment. Additionally, information will be shared about the impact of sexual assault on survivors, how to respond to disclosures, services, and victim rights.

This training is presented by the Sexual Assault Treatment Center and is intended for students.

Inji Kim, MPH, Education Coordinator, The Sex Abuse Treatment Center

Inji Kim, MPH, Education Coordinator, has been a public health educator for the past six years with two and a half years being at the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC). At SATC, Inji provides sexual violence prevention education island-wide. Additionally, she provides trainings and technical support to help schools and youth-based organizations to implement SATC’s K-12 sexual violence prevention curricula statewide.

Holly Bloom, Crisis Outreach Educator, The Sex Abuse Treatment Center

Holly Bloom has worked for the Sex Abuse Treatment Center for 12 years. Previously in her role as a Crisis Worker Community Liaison, she provided direct service to both children and adults: responding to SATC’s intake/ hotline, providing emotional support and crisis counseling, and assisting in evidence collection during forensic medical exams, as well as supporting families at the time of their forensic interview at the Children’s Justice Center. In her current role as Crisis Outreach Educator, she delivers presentations and trainings to the community increasing awareness about SATC’s sexual assault survivor services.

Llasmin Chaine, LSW, Manager of Education and Community Outreach, The Sex Abuse Treatment Center

Llasmin Chaine, LSW, Manager of Education and Community Outreach at The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC), has been working in the field of mental health and child development for the past 25 years. At SATC, she has supervised the delivery of the following services: forensic medical, emotional support, survivor advocacy, crisis counseling, prevention education and medical legal.
