Being Part of the Solution: Sexual Violence Prevention, Strategies, and Response
(Faculty and Staff Training)
April 3, 2023, 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Featuring the Sex Abuse Treatment Center and Hawaiʻi Sexual Assault Response and Training
SAAM is an opportunity to educate and engage the public in addressing sexual violence, and observing SAAM annually creates dedicated time for raising awareness in our communities. Consistent with these goals, the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) and the Hawai‘i Sexual Assault Response and Training program (HSART) specifically curated this webinar training for UH faculty and staff.
During this training, SATC will provide an overview of sexual violence, safety strategies around alcohol consumption, online sexual abuse and harm reduction approaches, bystander intervention, how to respond to disclosures, and the scope of sex assault services. Additionally, HSART will share its victim-centered and trauma-informed approach so we can better support survivors that report to community agencies.
This session is designed for UH faculty and staff.

This webinar will feature presenters from the Sex Abuse Treatment Center and Hawaiʻi Sexual Assault Response and Training.
