About this application

This application allows public users to view the occupations or Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) Codes aligned to each UHCC program of study. If you need assistance or encounter any issues, please contact the UHCC team at uhccdata@hawaii.edu

Requesting Revisions to Program SOC codes
Reviewing, adding, or removing SOC codes aligned to UHCC CIP codes may improve the validity and usefulness of occupational statistical data (i.e. occupational outlook, employment, workforce demand, career pathways, and earnings) associated with each UHCC program of study. Select users may request revisions to program SOC codes via this online application. In general, SOC code revisions for any UHCC program must be agreed upon by all similar programs across the UHCC system. The underlying principle in determining SOC code alignment is that the academic program needs to provide the skills and knowledge to perform an occupation, and that programs across all community colleges are consistent. Approval of UHCC program SOC codes are made at two levels: 1) Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and 2) Office of the VP for Community Colleges.

A listing of the most recent SOC Codes and Occupations provided by Lightcast can be viewed and downloaded here.

Accepting the Default Alignment of Program SOC codes
If the SOC code alignment for your program does not require changes, you must still login and acknowledge that the current alignment has been reviewed.

Requesting Revisions to Program CIP codes
This application does not receive revisions in CIP codes. All UH programs of study are given a Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) code approved by the UH Board of Regents at the time of program establishment in accordance with EP 5.201. For requesting a change in Program CIP code please refer to UH Administrative Procedure AP 5.201.

You must log in to make adjustments to the alignment or to acknowledge the existing alignment:
