Hawaiʻi’s high cost of living makes it difficult for many local residents to make ends meet or raise a family. People need a job that they can thrive in. Employment that pays well, provides good benefits, offers opportunities for advancement, and makes one feel valued. Good Jobs Hawaiʻi is a partnership among the University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges, employers and organizations that want to help people in Hawaiʻi attain a good quality job for generations to come.

In order to live and thrive in Hawaiʻi, it requires a good job. Good Jobs Hawaiʻi offers free skills training in Hawai‘i’s high-demand sectors including: Healthcare, Technology, Clean energy/Skilled trades, and Creative Industries that can lead to a pathway for a better-paying job and accelerate one’s career.

Good Jobs Hawaiʻi is a coalition of businesses, educators and community partners that will help people in Hawaiʻi get high quality jobs and careers, while ensuring employers meet their needs for a skilled, local workforce.
Community Partners
Community partners play a valuable role in supporting local residents into the Good Jobs Hawaiʻi initiative. The Good Jobs Hawaiʻi Coalition invites community-based organizations, non-profits, and other stakeholders to join the coalition as partners towards building successful pathways for individuals, families, and communities.

Support for the Good Jobs Hawai‘i initiative is provided by various government and philanthropic organizations including the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the U.S. Department of Education, the City & County of Honolulu (Office of Economic Revitalization), Ascendium Education Group, the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, and the Hawai’i Workforce Funders Collaborative.
