Tammi Oyadomari-Chun, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Academic Affairs Office works with the academic and student affairs leaders on each campus to bring better policies and processes forward to ensure a more efficient and responsive environment to enhance student success.

We also work closely with state agencies such as the Department of Labor and Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DEBDT), to encourage economic diversity and to deepen the sustainability of the Hawai'i economy. The Office of Academic Affairs believes in innovating higher education to make more students successful and to do so with more effectiveness and efficiency.

Tammi has held key positions in Hawai‘i's government and nonprofit sectors including assistant superintendent for the Office of Strategy, Innovation and Performance at the State of Hawaii Department of Education; vice president for programs at Hawaii Community Foundation; policy analyst for the Office of the Governor; and executive director for Hawaii P-20 Partnerships for Education. She earned an educational doctorate from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education; a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government; and a bachelor’s degree from Pomona College.
