Human Resources

The objective of the Community Colleges Human Resources Office is to provide leadership, service, and facilitation/coordination to the seven individual institutions which comprise the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges within the University of Hawai'i System.
The Human Resource Office:
- provides overall community college systemwide leadership in the direction and goals for the human resources program, including development of personnel rules, policies and procedures, and guidelines and ensures appropriate implementation. The Office provides leadership in supporting the seven campuses in employee and labor relations; classification and recruitment; and compensation and benefits.
- serves as a bridge between our UH System Offices and the seven community college campuses, and to other local, State, and Federal agencies. This bridging role is twofold in nature—sometimes one of advocacy and sometimes enforcement.
- facilitates campus efforts to fulfill individual campus goals and objectives by serving as a resource, providing advice in implementing policies and procedures as well as interpreting and administering provisions of the various collective bargaining agreements.
