Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs
The Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs (VCSA) strategic planning and direction-setting group is dedicated to advancing student development and success through operational excellence via the strategic plan of the University of Hawai‘i CCs. The core philosophy of the group is to support student success through collaborative efforts across the UHCC system. It is the role of this group to insure a positive direction toward achieving the goals of the Hawai‘i Graduation Initiative. This is specifically accomplished through continual analysis and inquiry into innovations deployed nationwide, review and analysis of system and campus strategic data, and by adoption of best student success practices as discovered in nationwide meetings with organizations such as Complete College America and Achieving the Dream. This group formulates and recommends policy and facilitates innovations to the OVPCC via the OAVPAA. The charge to the group is to set the operational tone in the system for student and academic support innovation and excellence aimed at dramatically increasing student success and campus efficiencies through strategic planning.
