About Us

The UH Community College System Office (Office of the Vice President for Community Colleges (OVPCC)) coordinates the seven community colleges and their associated education and University centers. OVPCC guides the community college leadership towards its strategic imperatives, facilitates communication between the two-year and four-year campuses and the UH System, and serves as a bridge to local, state, and federal agencies to meet the workforce needs of the state.

OVPCC also works closely with Hawai‘i P-20 and the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education as well as other state agencies to ensure our campuses are supporting the goals of the state to increase the educational attainment of Hawaiʻi residents and train the workforce of tomorrow.

Strategic Plan

The UHCC Strategic Plan Framework guides the work of our seven colleges and provides a vision for the future. It is intended to function as a bridge between the UH Strategic Plan and the individual strategic plans of our campuses and integrates our vision and mission, and the foundational principles and imperatives with those outlined in the UH Strategic Plan.
