Opportunities
HISSI
The Hawaiʻi Student Success Institute brings together faculty, staff, and administrators from the seven colleges and system office of the University of Hawaiʻi Community Colleges. Participants engage in best practices, innovations, and strategies that lead to increased student success. In addition to exploring what our colleges are doing, participants work together collaboratively with their peers to improve instruction and student support practices.

Online Teaching Professional Development
The UHCC Online Teaching Service hosts professional development programs and workshops for UHCC faculty and staff. These programs and sessions cover topics such as best practices for online teaching, methods for integrating third-party tools, and guidance on using learning management systems to create effective and accessible online courses.
Hawai‘i Great Teacher Seminar (HGTS)
The Hawai‘i Great Teacher Seminar (HGTS) has been a UHCC system summer professional development event for more than 30 years. Founded by the late David Gottshall and grounded in the principles of the National Great Teachers Movement, this unique and rejuvenating experience will be unlike any other professional development you have engaged in.
