The University of Hawaiʻi is committed to providing a safe and professional working environment. In order to support respect and integrity in professional environments, UH policies prohibit a range of workplace misconduct.
Our Approach
Based on this commitment from the University of Hawaiʻi, CCTIXO works closely with Human Resources (HR) Offices and other partners to address various types of workplace misconduct, such as:
- Workplace violence
- Retaliation
- Misuse of UH technology resources
- Drug, alcohol, and other substance-related violations
- Professionalism issues
- Insubordination
- Vandalism
- Theft
- Fraud and dishonesty
- State ethics violations

University employees must also follow common workplace standards by not engaging in other workplace misconduct, like insubordination, vandalism, theft, and dishonesty.
Additionally, employees must follow state ethics laws HRS Chapter 84 (PDF).
Each Community College has a HR Office, led by an HR Manager, that is responsible for addressing reports of workplace misconduct.
