The UHCC’s Online Teaching Service offers information and opportunities to support UHCC faculty and lecturers in their online teaching endeavors. UHCC faculty and lecturers can find information, ask questions, apply for professional development opportunities, request technology tools for teaching, and share ideas for online teaching strategies.

Professional Development Programs
UHCC Online Teaching hosts professional development programs and workshops for UHCC faculty and staff. These programs and sessions cover topics such as best practices for online teaching, methods for integrating third-party tools, and guidance on using learning management systems to create effective and accessible online courses.
UHCC Systemwide Online Education Committee
The UHCC Systemwide Online Education (OE) Committee works to ensure that students in the University of Hawaiʻi Community College’s online programs experience equitable access to innovative, authentic, learner-focused experiences that empower them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in their chosen career path.

Meet Our Team
Avree is a former English instructor and writing center program administrator. She previously worked as an instructional design and multimedia assistant, and now supports UHCC faculty with developing online courses.
